About
Founded in 1975, the Rockies are a legendary Johannesburg running club based at Zoo Lake Sports Club. CGA-affiliated with notable alumni including Bruce Fordyce and Frith van der Merwe. Five-time Spirit of Comrades Award winners. Hosts the Gerald Fox Memorial Race and monthly Zoo Trot.

Sun 06:00 (summer) / 07:30 (winter) club runs 16–40km; Sat 07:30 time trial 5km; monthly Zoo Trot (5/10km through Joburg Zoo)

5km (time trial), 6.5–7.5km (ShamRockies routes), 16–40km (Sunday long runs)
Terrain
Road — northern Joburg suburbs including Westcliff hills.
